Marin L. Kokin is a California licensed acupuncturist, nutritionist and herbalist, and a National Diplomate in acupuncture and Chinese herbology, board-certified through the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Ms. Kokin is also certified through the American Acupuncture Academy in Acupuncture Orthopedics, and a National Diplomate in Acupuncture Orthopedics.

Ms. Kokin's practice is unique and distinctive. She specializes in infertility and pregnancy as well as orthopedics and pain management. This includes musculoskeletal and gynecological/obstetric pain, pre and post operative rehabilitation, and injury rehabilitation. She also treats many internal medicine conditions such as fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome, gynecological conditions, and the side effects from chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Treatments include acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, acupressure, myofacial release, Chinese herbal prescriptions, massage therapy, nutrition counseling, stretching exercises, and cold/heat therapy.

Ms. Kokin graduated with high honors from Yo San University and has a Master’s degree in traditional Chinese medicine and a Bachelor’s degree in microbiology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She has interned at various hospitals, including Century City Hospital, West LA Veteran’s Hospital, and the Yo San University Clinic.

Ms. Kokin is a prominent member of the Allied Health Professional Staff and has hospital privileges at Encino Hospital, Providence-Tarzana Medical Center and Sherman Oaks Hospital. She is one of the first acupuncturists in California to receive such an honor. Ms. Kokin has given continuing medical education lectures on pain management and infertility and pregnancy to physicians at hospitals throughout Southern California. Ms. Kokin is a member of the National Guild for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and the California State Oriental Medical Association.

Ms. Kokin treats patients in her Sherman Oaks and Calabasas offices. Lunchtime and evening appointments are available.
